Fairfields in Terrell is stationed just a short drive from downtown Dallas, the topography includes rolling terrain and numerous creeks. Hunt began acquiring this Kaufman County land in the late 1940s. Today, the land is used for agricultural purposes. The long-range vision for the 2,650-acre land assemblage includes a master-planned residential community as well as an industrial park as potential use cases. To efficiently capitalize future development, a Municipal Utility District was created in 2008.
